We traveled to the Hawaiian island of Oahu in May 2004.

We stayed at the Outrigger Reef on the Beach hotel.  Diamond Head Crater was our view to the east of the beach.

This is the view of the hotel pool from the second level where we stayed.  The hotels in the background are on Lewers Street.

Our second night there, we ate at a fantastic Japanese sushi buffet!

We visited the Dole Pineapple plantation and saw varieties of pineapple we never knew existed!

The same day we drove around the island, visiting the north shore.  It was cloudy most of the day.

Our favorite spot on the northwest shore was Shark's Cove.

Later that night we attended a Luau at Paradise Cove.  Legend has it that if you catch a flower petal before it hits the ground you will find love.

There was also a net throwing competition, and of course, plenty of Mai Tais to drink..

The sunset was gorgeous!

After the sun set, we ate dinner and watched the show.

We visited the Arizona Memorial at Pearl Harbor.

This is inside the shrine on the memorial.

We also went snorkeling and saw all types of butterfly fish, parrot fish, a Christmas Wrasse, an eel, and a sea turtle.
