Her Soul goes clad in gorgeous things,
Scarlet and gold and blue;
And at her shoulder sudden wings
Like long flames flicker through.
And she is swallow-fleet, and free
From mortal bonds and bars.
She laughs, because Eternity
Blossoms for her with stars!
O folk who scorn her stiff gray gown,
Her dull and foolish face,-
Can ye not see her Soul flash down,
A singing flame through space?

Aggie finished her AKC Companion Dog title at the age of 9 months in November 1998. By that time she also had 6 points towards her AKC championship, with 3 of those points being a major! Aggie became an AKC Champion on 14 November 2002 by taking Winners Bitch for her second major at the Sandusky Kennel Club show in Columbus, Ohio. Aggie is our first homebred champion!
In February 1999, Aggie earned the right to be called a Canine Good Citizen by passing the test at our local dog club. Aggie also passed the local visiting dog test April 13, 1999, then the Therapy Dogs International test June 3, 2000. Now, Aggie and Julie visit St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Edgewood, Kentucky to provide pet therapy. Aggie has shown great aptitude for reaching out to mentally handicapped persons, and brightening the days of many.
We quickly discovered that Aggie is also an agility whiz-kid. With very little practice Aggie earned the AKC agility titles of NA, NAJ, NAP, NJP, OAP, and OJP. The photo of Aggie below was taken by Tien Tran photography.

At age 8 1/2, Aggie earned her first Rally Novice B leg on 7 October 2006 with Phil handling for his first time in a dog show ring! Her second leg was earned 20 October 2006, again with Phil. Aggie completed her Rally Novice (RN) title on 28 October 2006 with Julie by earning a score of 94.
Aggie earns her 1st Rally Advanced leg with a score of 97 on 2 December 2007.
Aggie was certified in tracking but was drawn last alternate or next to last alternate for every TD we entered. It wasn't meant to be.
Aggie sustained a severe injury to her right foreleg on 25 June 2003. See her healing.......
