AKC Herding Rankings & Statistics
Julie decided to keep track of the Belgians qualifying in AKC herding trials, regardless of the level at which they were competing. Not all of the Belgian breed clubs do this, so here is the place to see which Belgians are out there herding in AKC events. When Julie became involved with the Mudi breed, she decided to add the Mudi herding statistics here, too.
Points are calculated by simply adding all of the points earned while qualifying in AKC herding trials. For example, if a particular dog competed and qualified 2 times, and earned scores of 75 and 85, the total points earned would be 160 (75 + 85 = 160) and the average score would be 80 (75 + 85 divided by 2 = 80).
Please keep in mind that some dogs may have legs, wins, or HIT awards from previous years that are not listed. You will only see points, etc. from the year you click on under the breed names below.
Points in links below were recorded from tests and trials held through 8 March 2013.
Points will be updated at least once per month, so check back often to see if your results are here. You may have to click the "refresh" button to see updates.
DISCLAIMER: Julie started this project for her own information. All of the information in the links can be found on the AKC website, though it is not very easy to track. Because humans are involved in every step of the process (data entry at trials, entry into the AKC event results, gathering from the AKC website) there are bound to be some errors along the way. If you notice any, kindly send Julie an e-mail, with dates of qualifying scores if possible. She will make every effort to put the corrections in place.
Julie wants to send a HUGE "Thank you" to Kelly Backus and Renee Worringer for helping out with this project!
