Our goal is to produce healthy, loving, and beautiful quality (not quantity) companions that fit the breed standard with correct structure, movement and temperament. We want our dogs to become their owners' best friends whether competing in various dog sporting activities, or excelling as the perfect family companion.  We are proud of all the dogs we have produced.  Our dogs are part of our family and our puppies will always be thought of as "our kids" long after they have left for their new homes.  Our dogs were bred to be herding dogs. Breeding to keep this instinct intact is extremely important if we are to preserve the essence of what this breed is all about.  We strive to breed dogs to be versatile and talented at every farm chore or dog sport they do.  Therefore, we do not breed often.  We do not breed "just because" we think it is fun.  We only plan a litter when we believe we have the right combination of sire and dam to produce puppies that will live up to our expectations for the breed.

All animals used for breeding are AKC and UKC registered.  They also have proof of working ability through the titles they have behind their names, as well as attitude about performing work, particularly herding.  It is our sincere wish to produce true working dogs that are also structurally correct according to the breed standard.  We feel the best way to do this is to breed only dogs that have proven working ability, as long as they also meet strict criteria where temperament, health, and conformation are concerned.

All animal used for breeding are also:
OFA'd

1)certified clear of hip dysplasia after age 2 with rating of "excellent" or "good"

2) certified clear of elbow dysplasia after age 2 with rating of "normal"

3) certified free of thyroid disease after age 1 with rating of "normal"

and

CERF'd (certified clear of hereditary eye defects with passing certificate given once a year)

and

Seizure free (we will not breed either sex dog before it has it's 3rd birthday).

Puppies are raised in the house, with lots of individual
handling and socialization with other dogs as well as people, utilizing the "Rule of 7's".

We employ the early neurological stimulation program from day 3-16.

Puppies' temperaments are evaluated using Pat Hastings and Wendy Volhard  puppy evaluation methods.

Pet puppies are sold on limited registrations with
spay/neuter agreements. All puppies are fully guaranteed.

Show puppies are sold to owners willing to also agree to pursue herding titles, preferably at the trial level, before breeding.
